2013年的直面会上，岩田聪和名越稔洋宣布前两代《如龙》将会通过重制登陆日本市场的Wii U，这是该系列第一次也是最后一次在任天堂平台上发布，而这次的尝试在市场反应上来说失败了。
最近在接受法国网站Gameblog采访时，《如龙》制作人佐藤大辅再次被问及，《如龙》游戏是否会登陆Switch。《如龙0》和《如龙极》原本都是PS3游戏，所以在Switch上运行单说性能上应该没问题。
不过佐藤大辅表示，在Wii U上，《如龙1&2》遭遇了重大失败。虽然公司的目标是尽可能地跨平台去吸引更多对该系列感兴趣的玩家，但是谈到Switch，佐藤大辅认为Switch不是《如龙》游戏的理想平台，Switch玩家对于《如龙》游戏的期待并不是很大，而Xbox One平台则相较起来更适合。
