·横山本人很喜欢四川料理，特别是对麻婆豆腐赞不绝口，表示是自己今生遇到过的最辣料理。
·《三国志》漫画的最终卷讲述了姜维的事迹，设身处地的横山光辉感叹自己漫画中描述的地理环境与现场看到的壮阔怪奇实景相比实在不值一提，滚滚的黄河带来的几千年的中国地域文化真的很难用漫画完全描述。
