随着《刺猬索尼克3》电影的上映，索尼克、塔尔斯、纳克鲁斯和夏特这些游戏中的经典角色也已逐个登场，艾咪·罗斯也出现在了片尾的彩蛋中。但仍有一些粉丝期待游戏里的其他角色出现在电影里，例如胖猫比克。
近日在接受外媒“GamesRadar+”采访时，《刺猬索尼克3》的编剧之一Pat Casey透露，未来该角色有可能出现在电影续作中。
Casey提到：“我们对很多角色都进行过深思熟虑，那些没有出现过的角色可能不会出现。你知道，比如我们该如何塑造希弗尔（Silver）？那么我们又该如何塑造胖猫比克（Big the Cat）？这才是最重要的。但那是未来的事情，我们拭目以待吧。”
另一位编剧Josh Miller则表示：“但是我最想看到哪个角色呢？我的回答可能不是开玩笑……在某个时候，我们必须让胖猫比克以某种方式出现在那里。我喜欢想象他在索尼克电影中的形象。”
此外在接受IGN采访时，这两位编剧还透露其实早在《刺猬索尼克2》的电影中，就设计并制作出了索尼克穿过山洞，被突然出现的胖猫比克的骷髅所吓到（包括吓到观众）的片段，但在考虑过骷髅不一定得是胖猫比克等想法后，最终还是以“这毫无意义”为理由删掉了这段内容。
