近期各种迹象似乎表明，三星初代2nm工艺取得了进展，良品率最近已经达到了40%以上，已开始在Exynos 2600试产。同时三星在晶圆代工领域试图卷土重来，最近与高通正在为2nm订单进行谈判，传闻高通正在使用三星2nm技术对多款芯片进行量产测试。
据Wccftech报道，随着初代2nm工艺的良品率缓慢提升，三星正在推进第二代2nm工艺的开发，已完成了基本设计。三星初代2nm工艺为SF2，第二代2nm工艺则是SF2P。官方称新工艺具有多项优势，包括性能提升12%、功耗降低25%、面积缩小8%。
三星在2nm制程节点的努力并没有白费，加上积极的推广，SF2P已经引起了一些芯片设计公司的兴趣，显然也包括了高通。如果试产顺利，三星打算将量产时间定在2026年，用于制造Exynos 2700，搭载到Galaxy S27系列智能手机上。
如果一切顺利，高通或许很快会选择执行双代工厂策略，通过在台积电和三星分别下单，以减轻先进制程带来的成本压力。考虑到现在台积电在晶圆代工市场上的强势，已经占据了三分二的市场，三星的恢复也能促进竞争，有利于市场的健康发展。
