据TomsHardware报道，有网友分享了一个Battlemage的预告片截图，上面显示的发布时间就是2024年12月，从另外一个渠道印证了英特尔的发布时间，这也意味着英特尔的新品将早于英伟达Blackwell架构和AMD RDNA 4架构到来。即便临近发布时间，可是大家对英特尔新一代独立显卡的了解仍然比较有限。
近期英特尔经历了大规模裁员，其中显卡业务部门也涉及其中，加上过去的一些传言，外界猜测英特尔是否会选择放弃独立显卡业务，至少是进一步缩减产品线，毕竟Battlemage独立显卡似乎已经不会有移动版。
传闻Battlemage可能会有三款芯片，分别是BMG-G31、BMG-G21、以及BMG-G10，对应的Xe核心数量分别为32个、28个和20个。其中BMG-G10可能已经被取消了，英特尔提供的配置将会在BMG-G31和BMG-G21基础上进行。
除了用于独立显卡的Xe2-HPG架构，Battlemage还有用于集显的Xe2-LPG架构，以简化驱动程序的开发，降低成本并提高兼容性。其中Lunar Lake的核显将首先采用Xe2-LPG架构，已经与消费者见面了。
