游戏智库5月9日消息，联众国际(06899.HK)于5月9日上午9时进行了紧急停牌。据悉，停牌原因或与联众国际若干雇员从事非法活动一事有关。
联众以棋牌游戏、对战平台的研发运营及相关智力竞技赛事的运营为主营业务，此外还在电竞体育场馆、体育电商等领域布局。本次“涉赌”事件与联众棋牌事业部下属德州扑克项目相关。
根据此前公安部公开的消息，2018年4月，公安部指挥河南、北京、广西等地公安机关联合行动，成功侦破北京联众公司棋牌事业部利用网游平台开设赌场案，抓获联众公司执行副总裁秦某、棋牌事业部负责人徐某、大客户部负责人周某及“银商”张某等36名犯罪嫌疑人，冻结涉案资金6500余万元。经初步审查，2010年以来，联众公司棋牌事业部下属“德州扑克”项目涉赌资金收入累计达3.35亿元。
公安部表示近期网络游戏涉赌问题明显上升、这已严重侵害到了人民群众的合法权益，公安机关将持续深入依法打击和惩治黄赌违法犯罪，密切关注、动态分析研判新型网络赌博犯罪活动趋势特点，进一步提升精确打击能力，坚决打掉一批网络游戏赌博犯罪团伙，挤压网游平台涉赌活动生存空间。
目前联众官方暂未正面回应涉赌、停牌相关事件，联众国际旗下的联众大厅、德州扑克等相关游戏仍可正常运行。
