在提高税收的清单的250种商品中，“Playing cards”这一类目赫然在列。据了解，《魔法风云会》、《游戏王》、《精灵宝可梦卡牌》等经典实体游戏卡牌都属于“Playing cards”类目，除去钢铝制品，加方反制清单中的商品，税率最低为10%，最高达到了25%。
对于此次提高关税税收的政策，加拿大《魔法风云会》Wizard’s Tower店长Dave Tellier表示，“为了因应即将到来的关税，店里已先储备了不少库存，然而只要这些库存全数耗尽，Wizard’s Tower将强烈地感受到调涨10%的冲击，而当地商家的生计也将受到强烈影响。”
