Infinity Ward在领英LinkedIn上发布了一份职位列表，其职位描述暗示了潜在的跨世代《使命召唤》游戏。
“来与游戏行业最耀眼的开发团队一起，开发令人兴奋的，未公开的次世代游戏。候选人必须对第一人称射击（FPS）游戏有浓厚的兴趣和热情。”
这款未公开的次时代游戏最有可能就是指2019年的《使命召唤》。每年的《使命召唤》系列游戏都由不同的开发组开发，包括Infinity Ward，Sledgehammer Games和Treyarch。 2019年将是Infinity Ward。
而提到“次世代”，这就意味着2019年的《使命召唤》不仅将登陆当代的PS4和Xbox One，还将登陆传闻中的次世代主机PS5和Xbox Scarlett。
有趣的是，当年从PS3和Xbox 360世代，跨到PS4和Xbox One世代的首款《使命召唤》游戏，《使命召唤10：幽灵》，恰恰是Infinity Ward开发的。
