虽然并非所有Switch2实体游戏都会采用密钥卡形式，但确实有部分游戏会使用这种载体。这类卡带仅包含游戏下载授权而没有任何实际游戏数据，同时允许玩家交易甚至转售。虽然比一次性下载码有所进步，但这种机制与微软2013年Xbox One的尝试惊人地相似。
