实际上，海来阿木自从登上《歌手2024》舞台就备受关注。在首场竞演，乐评人丁太升录制视频评价海来阿木在歌手舞台上的表现，称他的“唱腔太土”。对此，海来阿木回应：“我就是从平民百姓中走出来的，我就是来自这样的环境，我所表达的也都是真情实感，也许我的音乐不够高雅，但可能也正是很多人喜欢我的音乐的原因。他们能听懂我想表达的是什么。音乐本身就没有限制，音乐类型有千万种，但对我来说，能打动人心就够了。”

红星新闻记者了解到，海来阿木出生于四川凉山甘洛县。2018年10月，海来阿木发布个人首支单曲《阿果吉曲》，正式出道。2016年，海来阿木年仅2岁的女儿因病去世，他沉浸在悲痛中无法自拔，同时生意一落千丈还背负大量债务。最终，海来阿木选择逃离到泸沽湖边，借着对亡女的思念，创作了以女儿名字命名的歌曲《阿果吉曲》。
今年2月9日，海来阿木首次登上中央广播电视总台《2024年春节联欢晚会》，与搭档单依纯演唱了歌曲《不如见一面》。2月10日，海来阿木在个人社交账号发文称：“我今年终于上春晚了，这对我来说是一个有至高无上荣誉的舞台。”有网友表示，令人感动的不仅仅是海来阿木的精彩表演，还有他演出结束后匆忙返回大凉山为女儿扫墓的深情举动。
