恢复补丁会与新赛季“风城行动”同时上线。
此前，育碧曾宣布将会移除《彩虹六号：围攻》中带有血腥、赌博和性暗示的内容，这一做法遭到了玩家们抵制。今天，育碧宣布，他们将放弃之前对《彩虹六号：围攻》的和谐计划，会将游戏中的和谐改动恢复到原样，这些改动将会在“风城行动”上线时同步恢复。
育碧表示，在国区的几周里，他们在社区玩家的沟通中了解到了玩家们的诉求，之后他们经过了一周的讨论和尝试后，他们决定放弃之前的和谐计划，并让游戏恢复到之前的样子。
育碧官方还表示，因为恢复补丁的发布时间与“风城行动”的发布时间一致所以给他们调整和测试的时间很短，所以在赛季初期可能会出现延迟或不稳定的问题，不过他们会将影响尽量减小。
育碧之前要对游戏进行和谐的原因就是为了考虑未来会在亚洲地区发行，方便通过亚洲地区的审核，不过游戏内容和谐后却遭到了玩家们的差评，Steam的评价也发生了跳水式的下跌，过去30天的游戏好评率甚至降到了46%，育碧只能听从玩家的意见将游戏内容恢复。
